Considering that the Bible is the source of all your indisputable facts, do you think it’s history is kind of important? Or are you willing to trust a bunch of dead guys who said “This is the Word of God because we say so”?
mortgagegirl: I’m not labeling all Christians as Catholics. I’m labeling all Christians as adhering to some version of the Bible, and I’m saying most probably don’t know the origins of said Bible. The fact that Catholics and Protestants don’t agree on which books to include is but one example of the questionable nature of the New Testament Canon.

r_moulton: FYI, nobody accepts evolution because Charles Darwin said so; he was merely the first to say so. The thing with science is that experiments have to be repeatable. If you could repeat the Council of Carthage and get the same results, you’d have something to stand on; otherwise you’re just accepting the word of some dead guys as inerrant truth.

God is all over the Old Testement. Talking to people and directly communicating with them. I recall He said at one point, no more will I come down and talk with men. He also seems to have power to control men to do His will. Just a few of many examples: hardening Pharoe’s heart towards Moses. Hardening the hearts of men to cause war. Causing men to come with the sword. Deciding what the outcome will be. He seems to have a lot of say and control in the events of the Old Testement. He gets right up in there. Is it fair to say that after the Old Testament, we have more free will? He’s not going to hold our hand anymore and keep doing things for us. He’s given us all the tools and knowledge to fend for ourselves? Real free will starts now (after old testament)?

This might sound like a trick question, but it is just one to get us thinking about this ’3 person’ issue taught by the mainstream churches, and get back to what Jesus taught the Apostles from the Old Testament, and revealed in His New Will and Testament[and through the epistles]. There is no contradiction. God is One, and Him Only shalt thou serve.

Do we actually have ’3 persons’ indwelling us?? as these verses might suggest?

OR is this the One True God, [who is the ONLY Holy Spirit]…that manifest Himself to us in the weakness and likeness of flesh for a time?
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; FOR HE DWELLETH WITH YOU AND SHALL BE IN YOU.

Why can no one answer the simple question of the three scriptures above?

God says He indwells the believer.
Jesus says it is Him that indwells us.
The Holy Spirit says He fills us.

Can there be 3 indwelling us?
OR
Is it ‘all in Him’[Jesus]- God[the only Holy Spirit] Revealed to save us, in the flesh.

Study up people! Start with the OT!!
But ‘WHO’ is this Spirit?
Is it of the ‘Father, or ‘Son’?

OR

Does anyone think that maybe God Almighty IS that one and only Holy Spirit, that manifest HIMSELF in the flesh nine months after ‘overshadowing’ Mary as the scriptures declare??
We are made in the ‘image’ of God.
So if I am a mother wife and daughter, does this make me ’3 persons’?

Not being inspired by the Lord it is these men ,and women that have made the scriptures antiquated, misunderstood, numerous Bibles written , have change the text, and meaning. There are not more people coming to be saved , there are less, and everyday you can see it, feel it,fear it,smell it,and not understanding the word because they are not called.
