My crazy and stingy landlady has been nagging me to find her a cheap and easy last will and testament. Can you buy those in a store?? Or is it better to download them online??
Or is a lawyer the best route?
This question pertains to Canada but I would be interested in ALL places too. Thank you.

Do you have to have a lawyer for a will and testament. Or can i just fill out one and it will be legal in the courts. I need to know as much as you can tell me about this ty
this is for my father in law. He is not in good health and he wants to devide his stuuf between his 3 kids. He know that if he dont do it this way his oldest son will take everything from my hisband and his sister and sell it for his own benifet. So will the court uphold it if he just fills one out and get a notery sign it?

Are the any legal ways I can appeal against my late aunt’s decision to name a boyfriend, namely a total stranger to the family, as the only person that benefits from her Last Will? He gets everything she possessed – the estates and the money.
How can I reverse the decision? I’m not thinking about hiring a lawyer just yet, I’m only conducting research until I familiarize myself with the case.
Any help appreciated! Thank you.
I have money and am well-off. My aunt’s only son died four years ago, she has no husband. This makes me a direct benefactor.
Her lover is in his twenties. He met her five weeks ago and practically moved in with her until she died of brain aneurysm. I have come across this information just recently. I never spoke to this man directly. He avoids any contact with my family.
How can I make him approach us when he refuses phone calls?

Now to me it seems you should be able to create your own “will” and just go have it notarized for a small fee- a friend of mine said he spent close to $75 doing his (each document that is) he did a “living ” and one “last will and testament” ..anyway…he seemed to think he got a great deal.. since they are all set up and you print them and have them notarized- can’t you just print off a template for the will and fill it out yourself and have it notarized for a lot less money!?? I have an attorney who is a close frined and I am sure he could help me out but he’s already done a lot to help me out..anyway- please let me know your thoughts- serious answers only please.

I received a copy of my parent’s estate documents. Specifically, I received copies of their Last Will and Testament, Revocable Trust Agreement, Appointment of Health Care Representative, General Durable Power of Attorney, and Living Will Declaration for each of my parents.
Their attorney, provided me with “Conformed Copies” — not photocopies. These copies, had my parents signatures penned in but did not provide photocopies of the documents with their signatures.
Additionally, there is a “CONFORMED COPY” statement with a photocopy of the actual signature by the attorney who prepared these documents.
So, I’m just trying to understand why a photocopy of everything was not provided.
I do have a copy of the documents — a “CONFORMED COPY,” just not a photocopy with my parent’s signatures.
Yes, the attorney has the original documents.

How do i find out what was in her will? There was a lot of money evolved. My uncle said my dad has to split 100k between us and my 2 brothers. But her bank was frozen and they had to sell her house. I have no relationship with my dad he has been in prison my whole life. The whole thing makes me sick. Gram raised my brothers and i our whole childhood. I still haven’t come to terms with her death. My brother and i would be happy with an antique juice glasses we use to love. I think they all just became greedy and thought the “smith kids” weren’t important. How am i going to be able to read her Last Will and Testament?
