His thirteen year old daughter died and since he, her dad was with her at the time.He told him and wrote as her last will and testament that she only would like for him and one of her older half brothers that he considers a blood son and who adored her to come and see her along with his other bio kids. She only wants him to know exactly where her grave is and to NEVER tell her other four half brothers where she is or even that she died!So he bury her the same day as her death as Jewish customs state in his old family cemetery.
Through the grapevine word gets out of her death and while he was ready and willing to honor his daughters wishes. When those that she specifically requested he keep out of the loop ask where she is because they want to see her for closure. He tell them flatly they weren’t ever in her life and did not like or love the child from her birth, even though they all grew up in the same house. For those reasons his daughter requested they stay away and he whole heartily agree. So therefore they are unwelcome to visit her grave or even grieve, because he knows it is fake and they will NOT disrespect his child in that manner. She deserves to rest in peace and not be tormented as she was in life.
The brother she asked for wanted to accompany him to see her,my BIL finally convinced him to to come along. But is worried the young man will betray his trust and reveal the graves location.Their mother is dead and buried in a christian cemetery.

Last Will and Testament. The thing is that she is alive but, she has Alzheimer’s. If I’m not mistaken 3 of her children took her to get a new LWandT drawn up while my Grandmother was in early stages of Alzheimer’s. She has a total of 8 children and the 3 who took her to get a new LWandT drawn up are fighting the other 5 children for Guardianship of Person and they (the 3) won’t let any of the 5 other children see the LWandT. Right now no one has Guardianship of Person over my Grandmother. Is there any possible way that that the other 5 children can see the LWandT? What if our lawyer asked to see it? I don’t believe that it’s in her house, I believe that one of the three of them have it. Any possible way? Thanks for your time and answers.

My wife and I are trying to convince my father-in-law to get his estate documents done. By estate documents I mean a will (last will and testament), durable power of attorney, and advance medical directive. He agrees they need to be done eventually but the right time is never now. This has gone on with me for five years and with my wife, decades. His wife has spent 2 months in ICU since March, and even that has no effect. He sees no need to do them now because he’s not planning on anything happening to him. He’s only 86 and lives in lower Manhattan, the land of lawyers.
So to counter is excuses, I need to scare the _____ out of him. I need stories of how not having estate documents really screwed things up. Tell me how all the wrangling among family members caused deep scars. Tell me horror stories about probate court. Tell me now all this stuff compounded the grief of losing a cherished family member. I don’t care if they happened to you, you heard about them, or you think they’re apocryphal: If it’s a scary story, please tell me!
Very briefly, he’s a lifelong NYC resident, rents an apartment, has a son and daughter (my wife.) The son is married and has two kids; my wife and I have none. (Without getting into gory detail, recently I have reason to question my brother-in-law’s faithfulness to his mother’s wishes and fairness to other family members, and instead inserting his own religiosity, self-appointed authority, and possibly self-interest.) I believe he receives a pretty generous pension and has considerable savings squirreled away, much of it in cash. (That’s typical of people who grew up in the depression.)
Thanks in advance for your help.

Ive just posted this question but i think ive been misunderstood in a sence !! Im a 33 year old man , so im not a child as someone suggested !! Im wanting to know if i can obtain a copy of my grandmas last will and testament ? The reason for this is my sister last night told me that when my grandmother died she left me and my 2 siblings £10,000 to share that would have been just over £3000 pounds each !! My mother in the past has fetched this issue up and told me that in fact my grandmother didn’t leave us anything ?? I now know this to be untrue so first of all to verify this i want to know how i can legally obtain a copy of my late gradmothers last will and testament !! I,m feeling very hurt ad betrayed by my mother , and if i find this to be true that she has depieved me of inheritance mother or not i will have no other choice than to take her to court and get the money back what my gran left me and that was rightly mine !! So i would welcome any help and advice cause my actions from here on in could be life changing and could cause a mssive rift within the familythat’ss why its crucial i find out the right details before i do anything about it !!
Help and advice would be greatly appreciated thanks !!

I am a 37 year-old male, happily married, living in Florida. No children. Debt: Mortgage and a few payments on furniture that should be paid off this year. If I were to die, I would like to leave everything that I own up to my wife to decide what to do with. Would it beneficial for my wife if I have some kind of will/testament instrument in place? Or would Florida law suffice? Not that I have any reason to think that I could die at any moment. I would just like to make things easy for her just in case something happens. What instruments should I have in place? Just a will? Thank you.

Had a death in the family and as far as we know there isn’t a will, so what steps does one need to do to get an administrator assigned in order to find a will or bank info. The county has locked the property up in order to keep tresspassing to a minimum. Please any help will be appreciated!

He passed away suddenly leaving my mother, little sister (12), I (18) and two much older children (late 40s) from a previous marriage. He left no testament and now the older children are trying to take my dad’s restaurant (my family’s only income) away because he started it with his ex-wife. My mom was with my dad for 20 years but married for 13. His ex-wife is claiming his social security check because she was with him for longer.
Can anyone help me, by telling me what happens if no testament is left? and does his EX-wife have right to anything?

My wife and I have kids and no will yet. I would like something in place rather than nothing. Where is the best form or template to create our own will to download, until we seek a lawyer? If I have to pay a few bucks for it I can. My biggest concern is to make sure our kids don’t go through probate court.
