Why would Jesus have told people that every word of the Old Testament was true (Matthew 5:17-19), when that contradicts the idea that we shouldn’t judge others, one of his own teachings? Matthew 7:1 says “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” Matthew 5:19 says that those who teach and do commandments from the Old Testament will be “called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

The Old Testament says we can stone people for certain offenses. If we’re allowed to judge others, we can stone people, including both rapists and their victims, to death, according to Deuteronomy 22:23-4. This reads: “If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city.”

How can this horrific commandment be the word of God, when Jesus said that we shouldn’t judge others?

Please re-word the above part so it sounds more smooth and flow-y, along with it making more sense….?? also…does this make sense??? The person who receives it will get a pretty good idea of what we do, because the people who receive it…are living in a house that their grandma owned, they moved in, and dont pay rent, but live there like home owners, only they do not have legal title to the house…
