last will and testament
angel-baby asked:

In January of 2003 a Grandparent of mine had passed on. the last will and testament stated that my siblings and I should receive a certain amount each ( our inheritance ) because the deceased’s daughter was a lawyer, she was given the duty of winding up the estate.
However, It is now 2009 and till date she (dads sister) has not gotten back to us on what is going on. everytime I ask her she just says it takes time to wind it up. I think that she and the rest of that family have no intention to ever give us the money. i think they has stolen it.

1 – My question is, what is the maximum time that and estate should be wound?
2 – Is it true that while winding the estate, the initial inheritence amount decreases?
3 – how can i prove that she has taken our money.
4 – should i seek legal help?

I dont want to cause a stir in the family, that is why I have waited so long. do u think I should 4get about it or pursue it?

Thank in Advance

I’m an atheist, and I don’t really know that much about Judaism, so this may be a highly ignorant question. Sorry. Anyway, as I understand it, the old testament of the Christian Bible forms the Torah, which sums up your holy scripture. This means all those rules in Leviticus that Christians ignore totally apply to you. I was just wondering, do you really act on all those things? Like this stuff, for example;

19 ” ‘When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening.

20 ” ‘Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean. 21 Whoever touches her bed must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 22 Whoever touches anything she sits on must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 23 Whether it is the bed or anything she was sitting on, when anyone touches it, he will be unclean till evening.

24 ” ‘If a man lies with her and her monthly flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days; any bed he lies on will be unclean.

25 ” ‘When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days at a time other than her monthly period or has a discharge that continues beyond her period, she will be unclean as long as she has the discharge, just as in the days of her period. 26 Any bed she lies on while her discharge continues will be unclean, as is her bed during her monthly period, and anything she sits on will be unclean, as during her period. 27 Whoever touches them will be unclean; he must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening.

28 ” ‘When she is cleansed from her discharge, she must count off seven days, and after that she will be ceremonially clean. 29 On the eighth day she must take two doves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. 30 The priest is to sacrifice one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement for her before the LORD for the uncleanness of her discharge.

31 ” ‘You must keep the Israelites separate from things that make them unclean, so they will not die in their uncleanness for defiling my dwelling place, [a] which is among them.’ ”

32 These are the regulations for a man with a discharge, for anyone made unclean by an emission of semen, 33 for a woman in her monthly period, for a man or a woman with a discharge, and for a man who lies with a woman who is ceremonially unclean.

My sister’s fiancee’s grandmother wrote into her will that he was to get savings bonds when she passed away if he got his highschool diploma. He could not enroll in his last year of school because his parents were making him work instead, and now that he’s 20 years old, he’s getting his GED in a week. When he asked his mother about the will testament, because his grandmother is not expected to last too much longer, his mother told him he wouldn’t be getting the savings bonds because a GED is NOT a highschool diploma and hung up on him.

Is there anything legal he can do about that or is he just s*** outta luck?

If Jesus Christ were alive today, would he be considered an anti-Semitic **** criminal in the view of the Anti-Defamation League? Consider the following:

Abraham H. Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith, believes anti-Semitism will last as long as Christians accept the New Testament’s “lie” that the ancient Pharisees were responsible for the death of Christ.

http://www.truthtellers.org/alerts/usgovtalmudmocknt.htm

In his recent book, Never Again? The Threat of the New Anti-Semitism, Foxman claims this “deadly” deception has caused untold Jewish suffering through the millennia. Such New Testament-generated **** culminated in the Holocaust, he claims – but it breaks out afresh as the “Christ-killers” charge is inferred in Mel Gibson’s Passion of the Christ and readings from the “anti-Semitic” Christian story at Easter.

Foxman says another wave of global anti-Semitism and persecution of Jews could be on the way unless Christians agree to ignore large sections of the New Testament.

Also consider:

The State Department’s 40-page Report on Global Anti-Semitism cites a recent example of “anti-Semitism” in Poland. “…the pastor of St. Brigid Church in Gdansk told parishioners during services that Jews killed Jesus and the prophets.” (p.22) What’s wrong with that? According to Jewish leadership: plenty. Jewish leaders say it was this millennia-old accusation that ultimately led to the Holocaust: to millions of Jewish “Christ killers” being herded into the prison camps and gas chambers of Auschwitz, Dachau, etc. “You can’t get any more anti-Semitic than that!” they protest.

Does my last will and testament have to be a professional document or can I write one out on my computer, print it and sign it?

Abernathy the Dull asked:

I just saw an anti-NWT post, which had a list of scriptures where the NWT was ‘changed.’ Here is one:

“Heb. 1:8 – This is a verse where God the Father is calling Jesus God: ‘But about the Son he says, ‘Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.’ Since the Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t agree with that they have changed the Bible, yet again, to agree with their theology. They have translated the verse as “…God is your throne…” The problem with the Jehovah’s Witness translation is that this verse is a quote from Psalm 45:6 which, from the Hebrew, can only be translated as “…Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.” To justify their New Testament translation they actually changed the OT verse to agree with their theology, too!”

As for the Greek, Daniel Wallace said in GGBB, page 59, that there are THREE possible translations of Hebrews 1:8, the NWT’s rendering being one of them. (This translation, according to Wallace, is backed up by Westcott, Moffatt, RSV margin, NRSV margin, and NEB margin.)

As for the claim that the Hebrew can ONLY be translated as “your throne, O God . . .”

Psalms 45:6 -
New Jerusalem Bible:
“Your throne is from God”

Jewish Publication Society Bible:
“Thy throne given of God”

(So the Jews don’t know Hebrew?)

Martyr

A name entrenched in blood
for all the crimes of years gone by
His continence so bent
beaten by the elders eye
and yet here he still stands
a testament to mortal make
For as long as he lasts
a will like his they’ll never shake

He is what you see him to be
nothing more and nothing less

If any person lives a good moral life helping others and contributing to society they are still damned to hell if they do not accept jesus.
But if the inmate on death row who ***** and killed countless women sincerely repents at the last minute he will make it into heaven.
Even the supposedly just and caring god of the new testament is egotistical enough to require people to accept him specifically above being a good person.
Sure not all but an overwhelming majority.
